Hydraulic Wedge Grips
Hydraulic Wedge Grips are a rigid grip that can be used in both static and dynamic materials testing applications in tension, compression as well as tension-compression. Grips are designed to withstand up to 500 kN force capacity for dynamic tests, and up to 600 kN for static tests.
Grip jaw faces are structured to accommodate both flat and round testing materials. And also grip will have a constant gripping force on the testing material, regardless of the applied test forces.
Wedge grips are mainly used for fatigue testing applications. The testing machine should have load control capabilities during sample loading hydraulic wedge grip body remains stiff during the testing. Hydraulic grips are designed in such a way that they will fit any brand of test machine through the use of an adapter.
Hydraulic wedge grips are designed according to the requirements of high force test applications that withstand high temperature and pressure.
Various applications that use Hydraulic wedge grips are listed below:
· To conduct Fatigue tests
· Tests through zero load (tension-compression)
· Suitable for electro-mechanical machines
